About Me
Born & raised in Boston, I grew up loving design and imagery. I put my first collection together (inspired by my mom’s Town & Country Magazine) at the age of 10. It was their Fashion Forecast Issue filled with endless contact sheets showcasing the season’s most exquisite designers. One glimpse of the color and movement displayed on the models expression and walk was all it took for me to be hooked. All I had to work with were 10 water colors and a plastic binder but it was a thrilling and perfect masterpiece to me.
Living in San Diego for years and spending time in Europe, Colorado and Hawaii, my style has been greatly influenced by the laid back and active lifestyles found in those regions. I enjoy creating travel collections because they include a wide variety of looks that maintain their ease of line and form. I gravitate towards clothes and images that are form conscious yet have a basic connection with everyday life and activities: Pieces that are versatile and can be interchanged to create a dramatic new look without an immense amount of planning. The goal is to take you from a beach café to a wine tasting with the change of one item and some accessories.
I find the structure of the body fascinating and beautiful. With every illustration I try to instill a unique, graceful quality along with a compliment to the strength and vitality of the human figure.
